Monique Robinson

Licensed Master Social Worker, LMSW

It is challenging to make the first step in finding help, however, as your therapist, I will always seek to support you in this process. I strive to create an environment that allows you to be yourself. I want you to feel comfortable and safe enough to communicate the challenges that you are facing. Sometimes stress can feel overbearing. Unmanaged stress can lead to feelings of depression, hopelessness, feeling lost, disconnected, and losing your sense of self. You may also feel anxious and overwhelmed, and finding it difficult to get rid of these feelings.

I graduated in 2018 from Wayne State University with my Masters in Social work. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker, with a clinical specialty (LMSW-Clinical). I have experience working with at-risk youth involved in the Juvenile Justice system. I have worked with new mothers facing the challenges that come along with being a mother of a baby in the NICU, or assisting them as they learn how to cope with the loss of their precious Angel. I also have worked extensively with adults of all ages of the life span learning how to cope with the many challenges that come with life as we age. Some of my areas of specialty include stress management, anxiety, depression, loss, and navigating distressing life changes. I strongly believe in treating the individual, and I appreciate the uniqueness of each client. Therefore, I employ a variety of techniques and tailor my treatment in accordance with your specific needs. I generally utilize a person-centered, strengths-based approach to meet each person’s unique needs. I am also experienced in utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing techniques.

I am committed to providing you with a safe, non-judgmental space to express yourself. The decision to pursue therapy can be challenging, yet very exciting. I look forward to building a therapeutic relationship together and working collaboratively to help you build the life you want.
